interactive installation, code
This interactive installation visualises the concept of de-centring ourselves through the blurring of our identities while using our devices. As we watch ourselves blur and our privacy diminish, we simultaneously confront programmed algorithms, data extraction and mass surveillance. Through exhibited eye detection and interactive screened face pixilation, I explore the question of phone usage. The longer we look at our devices, the more we must consider their environmental and social cost. The screened image is sharp and clear as a result of interaction with the installation’s direct field.
